STOCKS THAT MOVED

* Telecoms firm Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd. jumped 10.3 percent to 423.85 rupees after the Business Standard newspaper reported that shareholders would benefit if the company sold its surplus land.

* Kotak Mahindra Bank gained 2.1 percent to 438.80 rupees after the private lender signed a deal with International Finance Corp. to raise up to $45 million in Tier II subordinated bonds with a maturity of more than 15 years.

* Civil engineering firm McNally Bharat Engineering Co. Ltd. rose 2.5 percent to 137.40 rupees after it secured an equipment supply order worth 209.5 million rupees.
