STOCKS THAT MOVED May 22

* Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. rose more than 5 percent to 1,064.15
rupees after the firm said it had agreed to buy Israel's Taro
Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. for a total of $454 million.

* Power utility Reliance Energy Ltd. rose 7.9 percent to 551.70 rupees
after 13.24 million shares, or 5.8 percent of its share capital, changed
hands in a single deal on the BSE at 517 rupees each.

* Nava Bharat Ventures Ltd. jumped 6 percent to 128.40 rupees after the
company said it planned to invest up to 7 billion rupees in a special
purpose vehicle to set up a power project in Orissa, and up to 550 million
rupees for 51 percent of a firm building a special economic zone in
Hyderabad.

* Real estate developer Lok Housing and Construction Ltd. gained almost 5
percent to 187.10 rupees after its board approved raising up to $200
million in the domestic or global markets.
