* Consumer goods maker Nestle India Ltd 2.2 percent to 1,463.50 rupees after its net profit rose 50 percent for December quarter on Tuesday. The company reported net profit of 936.1 million rupees from 624.6 million rupees a year ago.
* Nagarjuna Construction Co Ltd extended gains after the engineering and construction firm said it secured three construction orders totaling 4.24 billion rupees. The shares are trading 2 percent higher at 255.40 rupees.
* Reliance Energy Ltd touched a high of 1,533.90 rupees, ahead of a board meeting later on Wednesday to consider a share buyback. The stock, which has lost nearly 43 percent from its peak of 2,631.70 rupees in January, is trading at 1,518.50 rupees, up 1 percent.* Welspun Gujarat Stahl Rohren rose to a high of 411 rupees after 3.72 million rupees, or 2.17 percent of the company's equity capital, changed hands in a block deal on the BSE. The stock has eased to 408 rupees, still up 1 percent.
