* India Glycols Ltd (IGLY.BO: Quote) rose 5 percent, the maximum daily limit, to 451.05 rupees after it bought 96.6 percent in Shakumbari Sugar and Allied Industries Ltd for an undisclosed sum.
* Phoenix Lamps Ltd (PHLM.BO: Quote) rose 8.4 percent to 216.50 rupees after the Economic Times newspaper reported that the firm is close to striking multiple buyout deals in India and aboard and one of the targets is belived to be the lighting business fo Surya Roshni. Shares in Surya Roshni ( SURR.BO: Quote) jumped 10 percent to 88 rupees. Company officials could not be reached immediately for comments.
* Real estate firm Phoenix Mills Ltd (PHOE.BO: Quote) climbed 5.1 percent to 2, 701.05 rupees after it said on Friday its board would meet on Dec 19 to consider a stock split.
* Offshore services provider Jindal Drilling & Industries Ltd (JNDR.BO: Quote ) rose 2.5 percent to 1,350 rupees after its board on Friday approved issuing 1.2 million shares to Citigroup (C.N: Quote ) at 1,280 rupees a share for 10.5 percent stake in the company.
